Australian Education Union ACT

About Us

The AEU, through its local and national organisations, is the voice for over 180,000 public education workers across Australia.

The ACT public education and training system delivers a high quality education for students in preschools, primary schools, high schools, colleges and TAFE colleges.

The AEU - ACT Branch represents over 3,500 members and advocates their views strongly to the ACT Department of Education and Training, the Canberra Institute of Technology and the ACT Government. The AEU also works closely with other professional bodies, parent and community organisations to maintain a vibrant and successful public education system.

Active involvement in the AEU ensures that the benefits, hard won by previous generations, are built on to the lasting benefit of all associated with public education.
