Public education is fundamental to a democratic society. Teachers, students and parents in public education make a significant contribution to our community. The values of Public Education are worth celebrating, promoting and defending.
2012 Public Education Awards
Public Education Day is Thursday 24 May 2012. Nominations are invited for the AEU - ACT Branch Public Education Awards. The awards acknowledge and foster the work of AEU members in promoting public education within schools/TAFEs, the wider community and in their personal lives. These awards form part of National Public Education Day celerations each year. Read the Selection Criteria here.

National Public Education Week will take place 21-25 May 2012. Public Education Day will be celebrated on Thursday 24 May. This is a celebration of the excellent work of teachers, students, parents, departmental staff and the wider community in public schools.
