It is vitally important for your Sub-Branch and for our Union as a whole to ensure all Sub-Branch representative positions are all filled. These positions promote effective communication and activism within our Union. Being involved in the Union is a rewarding and valuable way to contribute to your workplace and the the promotion of public education. The Nomination process for Sub-Branch Executive positions has now closed and those Sub-Branches who have not elected their representatives can do so by holding a Sub-Branch meeting of all financial AEU members and completing the Proforma for election Sub-Branch Representatives.

Sub-Branch Executive and Council Roles and Responsibilities:
The Sub-Branch positions of President, Secretary, Deputy President and Councillors are vital for an organised workplace and are elected by the Sub-Branch each year. When members work together and share these Sub-Branch responsibilities your involvement in the AEU will be a rewarding one.
Sub-Branch representatives are encouraged to take a team approach to organising your Sub-Branch. There are some tasks, however, that have been traditionally undertaken by particular Sub-Branch Executive. [more]
