Training
One of the main benefits of AEU membership is the free Training Program provided to all members. We endeavour to complement professional development provided by the ACT Department of Education, the Canberra Institute of Technology and other organisations in order to meet the needs of our members.
The AEU Training Program focuses on three main areas:
- Your Workplace - to support the work of AEU Sub-Branch Executive and Council members, Occupational Health and Safety Representatives and general membership training such as work entitlements.
- Your Profession and Career - to support the work of members in public education - for example communication skills; classroom management; promoting public education; writing applications and job interview techniques.
- Your Life - covering broader work-life issues, for example Retirement Planning and International Women's Day events.
